UPDATE OF MEMBERS’ PARTICULARS –

We are glad to inform members that our new integrated computer system went live on the 1st of January, 2010. We are experiencing some teething problems in the early stages of implementation and we hope you can be patient with us. This integrated system links the point of sales (POS) with our accounts and membership. Therefore, we can access information like your latest balance instantly. As part of our exercise to feed the system with data, we need your fullest cooperation to supply us with your latest particulars. Many a times our statements do not reach you because we were not notified of your change of address, phone numbers, emails etc. Further, the information that we have in our files especially for members who joined us much earlier are really sparse and archaic. Kindly fill the attached form and return it to us for our further action. With the advent of internet, we hope to send you the latest club news through emails and website simultaneously with the hard copies of the monthly statements.

 FINANCE SUBCOMMITTEE'S NOTICE

Dear Members,

Kindly take note of Rule 28 (Member’s Accounts) of our Club Constitution, especially the following points:-

(i)      Rule 28.1 – the non-receipt of the monthly statements shall not      entitle a member to allow his/her account to be in arrears. Please update the Club with your latest particulars like your address, phone numbers, email address etc;

(ii)     Rules 28.3 & 29.4 – for e.g., if you received your monthly statement on the 3rd September and if your account remains unpaid within 14 days i.e 17th September, then  the  Manager shall send you a registered notice requiring you  to settle your outstanding mount within 7 days. Should you fail to comply with the said otice, you shall be posted on the board as a defaulter. Let us say that you received the notice on 21st September, then you need to settle the outstanding on/before 28th September.

We hope that you can settle the outstanding amounts in order to avoid embarrassment. Kindly be informed that the monthly outstanding owed by the members to the Club ranges from RM40,000-00 to a staggering amount of RM100,00-00 every month. Please help us to reduce the arrears. You may think that RM200-00 is not a lot of money but if we multiply that with the number of active members (about 200 members), it comes up to RM40,000-00. We believe that with your cooperation, we can achieve minimal outstanding by the next AGM. Keep the faith! Thank you.

Nicole Tan, Finance Chairperson
